The panda gets recycled

April 21, 2008 - 2:09 pm No Comments

I read a post on our colleague’s Electric Apple blog about recycling ideas in advertising and I remembered of this nice video from McCann- Erickson Israel. As I found out from a creative director at the agency, the video is inspired form the concept of Boidem (storage space, extended- attick). Enjoy.

What can be more clean and great than an ad that speaks for itself yet brings a fresh concept behind it?

  4. Then download it or send it to someone you like
  5. All are vector wallpapers
  6. All are custom made
  7. Abstract, typography, pinkish, psychedelic, shiny wallpapers. And much more!

so check it out and tell us if you like it.

”Funny ha ha or funny as in you smell funny?" - i think this is a line from a sitcom, can’t remeber what sitcom but it works great with the listerine ads.

Alternative media

April 7, 2008 - 8:58 pm 1 Comment

What kind of  new medium could be invented to deliver the advertising message? I’ve found some that could work, others that are so far fetched I belive even their inventors question them… but who knows? Could work with a special campaign and target.

So here goes:

Advertising on leaves

Advertising on eggs

Advertising on butterfly wings

and the latest Advertising on human hair

I belive the first two are a good, especially the eggs, but only a forensic detective would apreciate the last two.

New level in design

April 4, 2008 - 1:39 pm 1 Comment

Designing and putting together a site for your own agency is always pretty hard and challenging. Lots of brainstorming, a picky client to say the least and a bunch of people with good ideas. It’s the brief where you can expand all the shelf concepts you know other clients won’t accept and also make a statement of originality.

My opinion is that Modernista.com takes the website concept and design a bit further, using some of the most popular digital instruments (Wikipedia, Facebook, Twitter). Of course, there are some questions we can raise: is it user friendly? is the navigation effectively chosen?

It would be nice to see other points of view form our Young Cyber peers.

Pringles gets spicy

April 4, 2008 - 12:24 pm No Comments

With this ad Pringles didn’t reinvent the wheel, but they sure reinvented the hot air balloon. Great use of  those common places we were talking about in one of our sessions and also huge visual impact. I think it really stands out.
